Vietnam's Coffee Exports Reach US$2.3 Billion in The First Half Of This Year

According to statistics from the Import and Export Bureau, as of May 2022, Vietnam’s coffee export volume reached 150,000 tons, earning US$343 million in foreign exchange. Compared with April 2022, the export volume decreased by 4.7% year-on-year, and the export value decreased by 5.4%. However, compared to May 2021, export volume and value increased by 15.2% and 40.7% respectively. In the first five months of 2022, Vietnam’s coffee export volume is expected to reach 889,000 tons, earning US$2 billion in foreign exchange, an increase of 24.2% and 54% respectively over the same period in 2021.

It is worth noting that in May, the average export price of Vietnamese coffee was about US$2,248/ton, down 0.8% compared to April 2022, but up 22.1% compared to May 2021.
