Foreign media, June 22 news: Ukraine's Ministry of Agriculture data on Wednesday showed that between June 1 and 22, Ukraine's grain exports were 907,000 tons, down 48% from the same period last year. This includes 803,000 tonnes of corn, 78,000 tonnes of wheat and 21,000 tonnes of barley.

Before the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Ukraine's monthly grain exports were as high as 6 million tons. But Ukrainian grain exports fell to about 1.7 million tonnes in May due to the closure of Ukraine's Black Sea ports due to the conflict.

Ukraine currently transports grain by train mainly through the western border or through small ports on the Danube.

Earlier this week, Ukraine's Deputy Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotsky said Ukraine's grain exports in June would rise to 2 million tonnes, up from 1.7 million tonnes in May. Speaking on Ukrainian state television, he said 2 million tonnes was the maximum that the existing infrastructure could provide by land.
