Ukraine's graintrade website quoted the General Administration of Customs on December 14 that in November 2021, Ukraine exported 105,000 tons of nitrogen fertilizer, with a total value of 62 million US dollars. The main export destinations are urea and ammonium nitrate, and the export destinations are Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Argentina and other countries.
At the same time, Uzbekistan imported 275,000 tons of nitrogen fertilizer in November, with a total value of 136 million U.S. dollars. The main source countries are Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Bulgaria, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia and Turkmenistan.
Experts from the Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club said that the high cost but shortage of fertilizers in the domestic market of Ukraine is mainly due to the expensive raw materials for production and the hindered domestic sales.
