Turkmenistan Exports More Than 51,300 Tons Of Tomatoes in The First 11 Months Of 2021

On January 3 that from January to November 2021, Turkmenistan exported more than 51,300 tons of greenhouse tomatoes with a total value of more than 56 million US dollars. The main export destinations were Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.

In the first 11 months of 2021, Turkey exported more than 32,000 tons of tomatoes to Russia, making it the fourth largest source of tomato imports in Russia. Local tomatoes are mainly exported to Moscow, Moscow Oblast, St. Petersburg, Urals and other Russian local entities.

Turkey is increasing its vegetable exports year by year. In 2019, the export volume of soil and vegetables was 36,400 tons, and it will increase to 44,600 tons in 2020. The main export product is tomatoes. During the 2021-2022 planting season, Tu plans to plant 500 hectares of tomatoes and is expected to harvest 85,000 tons of tomatoes.
