The amount of organic fertilizer available in China

1, manure and urine category: in China's organic fertilizer base resources occupy the highest proportion. According to the results of previous statistics, in 1994, the physical amount of human and animal manure and urine accounted for about 79% of the total basic resources, about 88% in 2005 and about 81% in 2008. Considering the factor of population increase, the average annual growth of China's population between 2005 and 2015 is 5.13 per thousand, the current amount of human waste and urine resources in China should be higher than 790 million tons, about 800 million tons. 2005 to 2011, the annual production of animal waste and urine volume is about 4 billion tons (fresh). The latest published data, 2013 or the current annual production of livestock manure and urine resources in China is about 3.8 billion tons. 

According to the survey, the whole area of Green Park in Changchun City has about 500,000 chickens in stock, 50,000 pigs in stock and 4,000 head of cattle in stock. The amount of manure produced: chicken manure and urine is about 60 tons per day, about 22,000 tons per year, sewage is about 30 tons per day, about 11,000 tons per year; pig manure and urine is about 260 tons per day, about 95,000 tons per year, pig sewage is about 260 tons per day, about 37,000 tons per year; cattle manure and urine is about 96 tons per day, about 35,000 tons per year, cattle sewage is about 100 tons per day, about 37,000 tons per year. About 806 tonnes of livestock manure is produced every day, including about 416 tonnes of manure and urine and about 390 tonnes of sewage. The total annual amount of livestock manure is about 290,000 tonnes, including about 150,000 tonnes of manure and urine and about 140,000 tonnes of sewage. The large amount of livestock farming waste has caused serious pollution to the water, soil and air in the city and Green Park. Some of the environmental impacts of livestock manure produced in the livestock farming industry are shown in Table 1.

2, straw: according to estimates, from 2007 to 2009 China's field crop straw by-products of about 8862.0 million tons per year. since 2005, China's crop production has been in growth trend, grain production increased by 2.84% per year, obviously the amount of straw resources will also grow. According to the latest report of the Ministry of Agriculture, the total amount of straw resources in China has reached 1.04 billion tons in 2015, so the current annual production of straw in China is about 1 billion tons (air-dried). 

3. Green manure: There are fewer reports on the estimation of green manure resources, mainly from the data of the Agricultural Extension Service Centre of the Ministry of Agriculture. From the available information, the amount of green manure resources is on a decreasing trend. Since 2000, the amount of green manure resources has basically stabilised at around 100 million tonnes. Considering the results of surveys and estimates in research reports, the current physical amount of green manure in China is about 100 million tonnes (fresh). 

The total amount of organic fertilizer resources in China is currently equal to about 5.7 billion tonnes, if we consider domestic waste as well as other organic waste, such as there are still 200 million tonnes of urban domestic waste and 50-65 million tonnes of meat processing plant waste each year, close to a total output of more than 6 billion tonnes (fresh). Therefore, the total amount of organic fertilizer base resources in China is currently about 43% more than the amount of resources in 1994.
