New Business Opportunities! Inner Mongolia Council For The Promotion Of International Trade Took The Initiative To Promote Economic And Trade Cooperation With New Zealand

On April 22, the 4th China-New Zealand Business Council meeting was held simultaneously on the Beijing-Auckland line.

The Inner Mongolia Council for the Promotion of International Trade plays the role of trade promotion to promote economic and trade cooperation. In recent years, the Inner Mongolia Council for the Promotion of International Trade has actively expanded contacts and exchanges with countries along the “Belt and Road” and major economies such as North America, Europe, Japan and South Korea, and emerging economies such as Southeast Asia. The economic and trade exchanges and people-to-people and cultural exchanges of regional counterparts focus on creating a new platform for foreign exchanges and cooperation. The tentacles of international economic and trade cooperation continue to expand, and the "circle of friends" at home and abroad continues to expand, opening up new channels and new spaces for promoting all-round and high-level opening up. At the meeting, the New Zealand Business Council awarded the Liaison Office of Inner Mongolia.

 

 

After the meeting, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Council for the Promotion of International Trade organized the enterprises in the region to have discussions and exchanges with Bai Anzu, the representative of the New Zealand Trade Development Bureau in Beijing, to match supply and demand.

 

 

Jin Shengrui, President of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Council for the Promotion of International Trade, first briefly introduced the situation of the autonomous region to Bai Anzu and his entourage, focusing on the export trade procedures of Inner Mongolia seabuckthorn, natto, camel milk, veal beef, soybean milk products, and gemstone jewelry that were collected and sorted out before the meeting. After the epidemic, New Zealand’s import policy on fruit and vegetable products produced in my country, the introduction of advanced technology and equipment for processing New Zealand dairy products, and information on tourism development, etc., were conducted to Bai Anzu and his entourage for consultation on ten major issues.

 

Bai Anzu expressed his gratitude for being invited to participate in the business council meeting, praised the enterprises in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for their desire to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with New Zealand, and answered the questions raised by Inner Mongolia entrepreneurs one by one. Counselor Kong Yifan of the New Zealand Embassy in China explained some details of cooperation.

 

 

As an important node along the “Belt and Road”, Inner Mongolia has given full play to the advantages of China’s opening to the north as an important bridgehead. It has continued to provide policies and measures to stabilize foreign investment and foreign trade. The business environment has been further optimized, the level of trade facilitation has been continuously improved, and taxes and fees have been reduced. The effect is gradually released, and trading partners continue to expand. As of the first quarter of 2021, Inner Mongolia has opened trade with 61 countries along the “Belt and Road”, and the total import and export trade volume has reached 380 billion yuan.

 

 

The Customs Counselor, Health and Quarantine Counselor of the New Zealand Embassy in China, Wei Hong, Vice Chairman of the Inner Mongolia Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the heads of the CCPIT councils of various leagues and cities participated in the forum and exchanges.
