Let Water Saving And Weight Loss Become A Powerful Engine For Green Agriculture

Water and fertilizer are the most basic means of production in agriculture, and the efficient use of water and fertilizer makes agricultural production a green breeze. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the country's agricultural water consumption continued to decrease, and efficiency increased substantially, effectively ensuring the high growth of my country's grain and major agricultural products. Compared with 2015, agricultural water consumption has been reduced by 16.88 billion cubic meters, a decrease of 4.58%, and agricultural water consumption has been reduced from 63% to 61.2% of total water consumption. The effective utilization coefficient of farmland irrigation water nationwide has been increased from 0.52 to 0.559. According to calculations by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the utilization rate of chemical fertilizers in my country's three major grain crops of rice, wheat, and corn will further increase in 2020.
