How many days after the application of diammonium phosphate will the effect appear? What is the difference between diammonium phosphate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate? It is reported that diammonium phosphate is an inorganic compound, colorless transparent monoclinic crystal or white powder, which is widely used as a fertilizer for vegetables, fruits, rice and wheat. So, how many days after the application of diammonium phosphate will the effect appear? What is the difference between diammonium phosphate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate? Let's find out together.

A few days after the application of diammonium phosphate, the effect will be seen

1. The general fertilizer effect of diammonium phosphate is about 120 days. After application, the fertilizer effect is about 50 days under suitable conditions such as temperature. Diammonium phosphate is easily soluble in water, which is more suitable for the needs of various crops for nitrogen and phosphorus elements, especially suitable for arid areas with little rainfall as base fertilizer.

2. Diammonium phosphate can be used in various types of soils in paddy fields and dry land, suitable for most crops such as rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, etc. Diammonium phosphate can be used in combination with chemical fertilizers such as potassium carbon chloride and ammonium nitrate, but it should be avoided with ammonium sulfate. Mixed with acidic fertilizers such as superphosphate.

3. Reasonable use of diammonium phosphate can improve the yield of crops, and can also effectively control some plant diseases.

What is the Difference Between Diammonium Phosphate and Ammonium Dihydrogen Phosphate

1. Different uses:

Diammonium hydrogen phosphate: used in food industry as food leavening agent, dough conditioner, yeast food, fermentation aid for brewing, fertilizer grade is mainly used as high-concentration nitrogen and phosphorus compound fertilizer, which is widely used in vegetables, fruits, Fertilizers for rice and wheat.

Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate: used as a fire retardant for phosphate fertilizers and wood, paper, and fabrics (such as a fire extinguisher for matchsticks and candle wicks), and also for pharmaceuticals. Also used as a ruminant feed additive.

2. Different production methods

Diammonium hydrogen phosphate: Slowly add concentrated ammonia water to the diammonium hydrogen phosphate solution for neutralization reaction. When the pH value is 14, it becomes a triammonium phosphate solution, which is then cooled, crystallized, centrifuged and dried.

Alternatively, wet-process phosphoric acid is used as raw material to produce diammonium hydrogen phosphate for feed. The production process requires two-step defluorination, three-stage ammoniation, and triammonium phosphate pyrolysis to produce diammonium hydrogen phosphate for feed. Its production cost is lower than the method using yellow phosphorus as raw material.

Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate: ammonium monohydrogen phosphate metathesis method. The technological process of preparing ammonium dihydrogen phosphate by reacting phosphoric acid with ammonium bicarbonate and then reacting with potassium chloride to generate potassium monohydrogen phosphate.

It is to feed water, potassium chloride and ammonium bicarbonate in proportion, then add a specified amount of phosphoric acid, after stirring, adjust the pH value, heat and concentrate to 110 °C, and then crystallize by cooling, centrifugation, and drying to obtain the product KH2PO4 , the concentrated mother liquor obtained by centrifugation is a multi-element compound fertilizer containing nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
