Crop Output in Indonesia Is Stable From January To August 2022

Indonesia's rice production in the January-August period was 49.82 million tons, compared with a production target of 5,489 tons for the whole of 2022, an official from Indonesia's Ministry of Agriculture said at a parliamentary hearing last Tuesday (September 6). Corn production in the January-August period this year was 20.92 million tons, compared with a target of 23.1 million tons for 2022. Natural rubber production in the January-August period was 2.26 million tons, compared with a target of 3.37 million tons for 2022. Sugarcane production in the January-August period was 22.11 million tons, compared with a target of 34.99 million tons for 2022.
