China's Imports Of Processed Fruit Thinning Products From Vietnam And The United States Increase Significantly in 2021

Vietnam's "Customs Online" reported on January 18 that the latest statistics from the Import and Export Bureau of Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade show that in 2021, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports will reach 3.52 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%. Although the third quarter was affected by the fourth wave of the new crown epidemic, the high base of fruit and vegetable exports in the first half of the year laid a solid foundation for the growth of fruit and vegetable exports throughout the year.

At the same time, enterprises actively adapt to market demand to change the structure of export products. After the export of fresh fruits and vegetables to China was frustrated, fruit and vegetable enterprises switched to exporting processed fruit and vegetable products to China.

Statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China show that in the first 11 months of 2021, China's imports of processed fruit and vegetables reached US$1.48 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27.1%. China has increased the import of processed fruit and vegetable products in almost all markets except Thailand. Among them, the United States and Vietnam are the two largest markets for exporting processed fruit and vegetable products to China in the first 11 months of 2021.

Specifically: Compared with 2020, China's imports of processed fruit and vegetable products from the United States reached US$278 million, an increase of 67.5%; imports from Vietnam reached US$213 million, an increase of 34.9%.
