Brazil's Valores Económicos newspaper, on May 16, released data showing that the gross agricultural product is expected to reach a record level of R$1.236 trillion in 2022, up 2.7% year-on-year. Total agricultural revenue will reach R$881.2 billion, up 7.3 per cent year-on-year; livestock is expected to decline by 7.2 per cent to R$355.7 billion. Coffee, sugar cane, cotton and maize are all expected to drive growth in gross agricultural product.
