According to the latest data released by the Bolivian Institute of Foreign Trade (IBCE), from January 2018 to June 2022, Bolivia exported 841,000 tons of urea to the Latin American market, with an export value of US$314 million.
In the first half of 2022 alone, Bolivia exported more than 50% to Argentina (46%), Brazil (41%), Peru (8%), Uruguay (5%) and Paraguay (0.2%). $136 million in urea.
In addition, Armin Dorgathen, executive president of Bolivia's National Oil and Gas Company (YPFB), also reported that the company earned more than $160 million in revenue from the sale of granular urea in the first half of this year.
